Attracted to the serendipity of the photography process, since I was twelve, I have played with many photographic techniques: black and white, colour, digital and alternative process. My interest in the arts began at an early age; surrounded by a family of artists influenced and inspired my appreciation for both the visual and performing arts. My career as an artist includes photography, ceramics and publishing; recent work at Emily Carr University has consolidated these many interests.I am the recipient of the Canon Photography Graduation Award.
My work in both private, public and corporate collections includes St. Paul’s Hospital Art Collection and the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (curated by Farmboy). It is exhibited both locally and internationally; most recently Impressions and Illuminations, Die Bedürfnisanstalt, Hamburg, Germany. I also collaborate with a collective of photographers as well as Alison Keenan. This collaboration resulted in Intervals, an exhibition co-curated with Edward Peck, presented by South Main Gallery during Vancouver’s Capture Photography Festival and Telling Stories: a visual art exhibition, an exhibition co-curated with Alison Keenan, presented by the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver.
